360 Lipo Before and After

Having stubborn fat and a lack of contour in the mid-section is one of the few problems many face. For many, exercising regularly and following a healthy diet still does not reduce these stubborn pockets of fat. The 360 lipo, also referred to as the 360-degree liposuction procedure, aims to enhance the contours of the abdominal area. It targets the whole abdominal area, the sides, as well as the back to help with extensive contouring. Keep reading to find out how 360 lipo can affect the body before and after the procedure, and how it can enhance the aesthetics of the body.

⏳ What is 360 Lipo? More Than Just a Tummy Tuck Alternative

Since its introduction in cosmetic surgery, Liposuction has consistently ranked among the top aesthetic procedures performed globally. It is a very effective procedure for localized body contouring of resistant fat deposits. 360 liposuction is a type of liposuction that is gaining momentum among prospective patients due to its ability to deliver balanced and aesthetically proportional outcomes.

What is 360 Lipo?

360 liposuction is a type of liposuction. The 360 in the name of the procedure refers to 360-degree body contouring of the abdominal area. Furthermore, the procedure is also known as a circumferential lipo, as it removes the extra fat deposits from all around the abdomen, rather than a particular localized zone.

Areas of Treatment

360 Lipo is one of the most effective ways of torso contouring without opting for a surgical alternative like a Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty. The potential areas of treatment for 360 lipo include the anterior abdomen, sides (flanks), lower back, upper back, waist, and the hips. Due to these areas of treatment, the procedure may also be referred to as belly and back lipo.

Key Differentiator from Tummy Tuck

A 360 lipo differs from a tummy tuck in that it is less invasive and has a shorter recovery timeline. Moreover, the procedure only removes excess fat deposits and covers the entire circumference of the abdomen. Unlike a Tummy Tuck, a 360 lipo only provides minimal skin tightening and does not provide any muscle tightening or repair.

✨ Here’s What Makes You a Candidate for 360 Lipo

The criteria for patient selection for 360 liposuction are similar to those for other aesthetic surgical procedures and include:

At or Near Ideal Weight

This is an essential requirement for someone looking to benefit from 360 lipo, as the procedure is not a weight loss treatment. People who have achieved their ideal weight but are struggling to lose the last few pounds through conventional means make good candidates for a 360 liposuction.

Localized Fat Removal

The purpose of all types of liposuction is the localized removal of fat deposits. Understanding this fact is essential for avoiding outcome dissatisfaction after the procedure.

Optimum Skin Elasticity

Patients with good skin elasticity have better contouring outcomes because elastic levels allow the skin to retract naturally post-procedure.

No Muscle Repair Requirements

Patients with anatomical issues like Diastasis Recti do not gain any improvement from 360 lipo. A surgical intervention like an Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) is better suited for abdominal muscle repair.

Health Criteria

An ideal patient for 360 lipo is someone in good health and with no other secondary health issues. Furthermore, patients also need to avoid smoking or indulging in alcohol consumption because these habits retard healing and adversely impact the skin.

Realistic Expectations

Similar to any cosmetic procedure, it is essential to understand the full scope, indications, and outcomes of the 360 lipo to achieve a successful aesthetic result.

⚕️What Happens Between the “Before” and “After.”

Even though a 360 lipo is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure, it still involves extensive preparation and maintenance protocols. Here is a step-by-step breakdown of what happens before and after a 360 liposuction procedure:

Before

  • Detailed medical history
  • Physical examination
  • Lab investigations and scans
  • Discussing the goals, logistics, and outcomes with the surgeon
  • Preparing an appropriate surgical plan
  • Clearance for anesthesia (depending on whether it’s local or general)

Certain things have to be stopped at least 2 to 4 weeks before the procedure, such as smoking, alcohol, NSAIDs, etc. Moreover, for the best surgical outcomes, patients need to watch their weight and maintain a balanced and nutritious diet.

During the Procedure

The 360 lipo aims to give the hour-glass shape to the body that most people want. Prior to the procedure, an extensive consultation takes place where the surgeon will discuss your goals and plan your treatment. During the surgery, anesthesia is administered, and the surgeon carefully makes incisions to help target the stubborn fat effectively. Liposuction techniques, such as tumescent liposuction or laser-assisted liposuction, are used to remove excess fat and sculpt the mid-section. Finally, the surgeon sutures the incision.

After

  • Strict bed rest for as long as the surgical team necessitates
  • Take all the prescribed medications
  • Wear compression garments
  • Show up for all the follow-up visits
  • Maintain a stable weight and diet
  • Maintain good hydration levels

🎯 Here’s What the Recovery Looks Like After The Lipo 360 Procedure

A smooth recovery process is crucial to make sure you get the best results. Most of the healing occurs within the first 6 months, while the patient can see their full results after approximately a year following the procedure.

Immediately after the procedure, you might feel some weakness and mild discomfort. Swelling and bruising are expected. Furthermore, a compression garment will be used for better healing.

Proper hydration and rest are required in the first week. The doctor will also monitor the healing progress closely.

By the third week, you can get some light exercises done, like walking. The bruising and swelling will also reduce.

One month post-op, you can return to your routine activities without engaging in any extreme exercises. The bruising and swelling will die down even more.

By month 3, most of the swelling will be gone as the early recovery stage completes, and your results will become even more visible.

Furthermore, month 6 is when you can expect all the swelling to subside and see your new contoured body.
